We kicked off the season with a great day of halibut fishing. Fun group of people and perfect fishing weather with only 10kt of wind from the SE. Day started off slow, we then made a move and landed 5 nice halibut ranging from 50lb-80lb. The jigs outfished the bait today in 100′ of water. We made a final move and limited the boat with 48 halibut. Great start for the 2011 season. The Sea Quest will have its next trip on monday May 23, we still have plenty of seats left and the weather is calling for a variable 10kt so come out while the weather is nice and the fish are biting.
