This Halibut was caught on a 12oz Jig equipped with 8” Power Grub all on light tackle.  There is nothing like battling one of these giant halibut on light weight gear. Client landed this barn door in less than 15 minutes.  He handled this fish like a pro,  keeping constant pressure on the line is essential while fishing with a jig.  These big Halibut are known for spitting jigs while violently shaking their heads.  So to land a monster like this one on a jig is quite a trophy.
