The Alaska Northern Fishing Experience: In addition to great fishing, your enjoyment, comfort, and safety are our priorities. Our Fleet Captain (and Alaska Northern co-founder) Ezra Campbell was born and raised in Seward, Alaska and has been fishing commercially, recreationally, and in the charter fleet his entire life. He is recognized as one of the best in terms of fishing skill, professionalism, and being a nice guy. While halibut fishing offshore where glacier-fed bays feed the Gulf of Alaska you will encounter an abundance of halibut that average 20 to 30 pounds and will top the scales at over 400 pounds, as well as large rockfish and huge lingcod. If your schedule is tight, try our fast-paced half-day salmon fishing trip. Coho ("silver") salmon make for wild action with long, hard runs and acrobatic leaps. Coho routinely reach the 15-20 pound range, but are generally between 8 and 12 pounds. During the peak of the Coho run (mid-July to early-September), we also offer full-day salmon fishing charters. If you have time and are serious about fishing, however, our combination fishing trip is probably the best fit. This is our most popular package - a full, action-packed day of fishing for halibut, lingcod, rockfish and salmon.

Late June, July and August, most of our clients prefer full-day combination fishing trips in order to catch the peak of both halibut fishing and silver (coho) salmon fishing in the same day. Call us at (907) 224-2665 to make a reservation now.

Wildlife/Sightseeing on Fishing Trips: Sightseeing is an inherent part of all of our fishing trips. On every trip you will see at least some (and sometimes all) of the following: sea otters, sea lions, whales, porpoises, puffins and other birdlife, bears and goats, fjords, mountains, glaciers and streams. The rugged shoreline of the Gulf of Alaska is pristine wilderness, spectacularly beautiful and a fitting backdrop to the productive waters of the North Pacific. Virtually all of our fishing occurs within sight of either the Kenai Fjords coastline or Chugach National Forest coast.
